UT501A Insulation Resistance Tester.
UT500 series electrical insulation testers are used to measure the insulation resistance of electrical equipment and household appliances when performing periodic inspections. This is done by measuring the insulation resistance between the electrical circuits or between the circuits and the ground (equipment frame). The UT500 series can measure insulation resistance, AC voltage, low resistance, PI (polarization index) and DAR (dielectric absorption). The individual UT500 series instruments differ from each other in test voltage ranges (UT501A 100V to 1000V, UT501B 250V to 1000V, UT502A 500V to 2500V), maximum measured insulation resistance (UT501A 0MΩ to 5GΩ, UT501B 0MΩ to 5GΩ, UT502A 0MΩ to 20GΩ), and some other parameters.

These are testing and inspection instruments for ensuring the proper function of transformers, generators, high-voltage motors, power capacitors, power cables, arresters, switches, electrical machines and appliances. They are ideal instruments for carrying out electrical maintenance and are manufactured in accordance with IEC61010 and IEC61557 standards.
