A standard elbow can twist slightly under the torque of screwing a tap or mixer onto it if it isn't fully backed by masonry - a problem this version avoids by including fixing ears that let the fitting be screwed directly to a wall bracket, batten or masonry before the wall is closed up. Once fixed, the female thread sits dead level and fully rigid, exactly where the finished wall surface will be.

Function-wise it works the same as the standard elbow: 16 mm PEX-AL-PEX pipe crimps onto one side with a U-profile press jaw, the same profile used across the whole Hydroland range, while the fixed 1/2'' female thread accepts the shower or tap body's male connection. Nickel-plated brass resists corrosion through years of embedding in a wet wall zone.
