Electrometer measures current energy consumption (watts) a electricity consumed (kilowatt-hours - kWh). The device indicates the amount of electricity consumed by appliances in the house. Equipped with the option of active reset - RESET of energy consumption (kWh).

LCD display shows total active energy in kWh and total power consumption in Wattech. The display can be changed by pressing the button on the front panel - a short press to change the indicated parameter, or a long press for 3 seconds to activate the option to reset the display.

The 72 series meter is equipped with pulse output,  completely separated from the perimeter of the device, generating pulses depending on the amount of energy consumed, enabling the connection of a computing device. It is applicable for energy measurement in industrial and commercial applications.

The meter has simple operation, dIN rail mounted and connects to the appliance it will monitor. It can measure a wide range of current and has low power consumption itself. Thanks to its small size and weightit is very easy to handle and takes up very little space on the DIN rail.

The meter can be used as a fixed meter for measuring active energy for use in residential, commercial and light industrial applications;MID Certificate (according to the European Measuring Instruments Directive 2004/22/EC). The abbreviation MID comes from the English words Measuring Instruments Directive. The directive itself covers categories of measuring instruments (active meters).

MID guidelines

Instruments approved according to the Measuring Instrument Directive (MID) facilitate seamless cost allocation.

MID-approved meters are advantageous in that they can;the measured values are certified, with proven measurement accuracy. This is important if disagreements arise on the fair distribution of energy costs.

Electricity meters they facilitate the allocation of the costs of off-take between different tenants, e.g. shops and boutiques in shopping malls, companies with blocks of offices or between different airlines and functions (e.g. baggage handling) at airports.

The fact that many of these commercial operations are not initially designed for secondary metering is not a problem. Electricity meters can be neatly integrated into the installationwherever it is needed.
 

Secondary measurement

In rental houses the sub-metering must be linked to the total consumptionwhich is measured by the central billing meter. The owner of such a rental house, guest house, housing cooperative and similar entity then acts as the sole subscriber of the consumption, which must subsequently allocate the total costs to the individual tenants, according to their actual consumption. The actual consumption of these tenants can easily be measured by a simple meter installed on a DIN rail in each individual apartment.

Easy installation of meters in standard cabinets

DIN rail meters are often used to allocate the cost of electricity consumed to individual apartments. Their installation is simple. Thanks to their small size, the meters can be installed in standard DIN cabinets.

Electricity meters require no special housing and no conversion. Their readings are usually collected as pulses or serial readings, transmitted continuously to a central unit (which also collects other data). The simplest method of reading is manual meter reading.
