BRA.02.622 - ball valves for drinking water
This category includes flanged ball valves from the BRA.02.622 series designed specifically for potable water systems. These valves are suitable for use in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems as well as compressed air distribution. They operate within a temperature range of -25°C to +150°C and are rated for a maximum pressure of 16 bar. The valves feature split-body construction, full port flow, and ISO 5211 actuator compatibility.
The body is made of stainless steel (A351 CF8M), while the ball and stem are constructed from AISI 316 stainless steel. Sealing components include PTFE for the ball and FKM (Viton®) for the stem. These valves are certified for potable water under Czech legislation Vyhl. 409/2005 and meet ATEX requirements under EU Regulation 2014/34/EU. They include anti-static features and lockable lever handles. These valves are not suitable for steam or flow regulation.
How to choose
- Select the appropriate DN size (e.g., DN 20, DN 25, DN 32, DN 40) based on the pipe diameter and flow rate requirements.
- Ensure the flange type matches your system (PN 16 per EN 1092).
- Confirm compatibility with potable water and any relevant regulatory standards.
- Verify ISO 5211 compatibility if planning to use an actuator.
- Check the operating temperature range (-25°C to +150°C) fits your application conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Can these valves be used for steam applications?
