DAB.MOTOR 4GG - 4" submersible motors
The DAB.MOTOR 4GG series includes 4-inch submersible motors designed for use in water systems. These two-pole asynchronous motors are constructed with AISI 304 stainless steel components and are suitable for integration with submersible pumps. They are commonly used in applications requiring reliable operation in submerged environments, such as water supply, drainage, and irrigation systems.
These motors operate with single-phase 1x230 V/50 Hz or three-phase 3x230 V/50 Hz and 3x400 V/50 Hz power supplies. The stator is sealed in a stainless steel housing with an argon-based gas mixture, and the winding nodes are connected via a flat four-core wire. Lubrication and cooling of the bearings are achieved through liquid filling, and axial loads are supported by a robust heel bearing.
How to choose
- Confirm the required supply voltage (1x230 V, 3x230 V, or 3x400 V) to match the electrical system.
- Verify the motor power rating (e.g., 0.37kW or 0.55kW) to ensure compatibility with the intended pump and flow requirements.
- Ensure the flange type (NEMA 4-inch) matches the pump or system interface for mechanical compatibility.
- Consider insulation class (Class F) and protection rating (IP68) for long-term durability in submerged conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Can these motors be used with single-phase and three-phase systems?
Yes, the DAB.MOTOR 4GG supports both single-phase (1x230 V) and three-phase (3x230 V or 3x400 V) power supplies, depending on the model.
What is the role of the heel bearing in these motors?
The heel bearing supports axial loads and is designed for robust operation in submerged environments, ensuring long-term mechanical stability.
