The charger is designed for charging the external battery in cars with controlled, so-called smart charging, which is used in modern cars to achieve the lowest possible emissions.
It contains an inverter that is capable of increasing and decreasing the input voltage to create the optimum voltage for charging an external battery. Connects to the primary starter battery and utilises the potential of the vehicle's alternator even when the starter battery charge is limited to reduce emissions.
An automatic mains charger (AC-DC) can also be connected to the external battery terminals without disconnecting the DC-DC charger.

Can be used for conventional lead acid, AGM, GEL and LiFePO4 batteries
