Sand replacement in sand filtration.

An important factor for pool water maintenance is proper filtration. Cartridge filters are the simplest, but their disadvantages are rapid clogging, low service life and incomplete dirt capture. Sand filtration is a more efficient option. Sand, as we all know, is an excellent medium for mechanical water filtration. Sand filters have a relatively long service life, being changed about 1 - 2 times in two years. The Laguna Aqua-filter brings something extra. Not only does it have the same efficiency as a sand-mechanical filter, but its active surface acts as a sorbent, so it is also able to remove dissolved impurities of a chemical nature from the water. The water filtered in this way is of significantly higher quality than that from sand filtration and, among other things, facilitates the use of pool chemicals. Once every two years, the filter cartridge must be regenerated with a salt solution.

Application:

The sand in the filter can easily be replaced by the Aqua-filter lagoon, which does not require any technically demanding filters or special equipment. In addition, the use of Laguna Aqua-filter will reduce the maintenance costs of the pool water, increase the chlorination effect and reduce the amount of active chlorine required by up to 30%. Odours in swimming pools and skin irritation will be reduced. Laguna Aqua-filter's ability to trap impurities is many times higher than other filter media because it uses three mechanisms: mechanical filtration, surface filtration and ion exchange.

Grey granules with a grain size of 0.5 - 1 mm

Instructions for use:

Rinse the Aqua-filter lagoon first in a container of water, allow to settle and then pour off the water to remove dust particles and thus prevent them from washing into the pool water. Then pour the wet cartridge into the filter and wash the filter cartridge out of the pool with water.

Regeneration Laguna Aqua-filter:


After two years, the Laguna Aqua-filter is soaked in a 10% salt solution (1 kg NaCl for every 10 litres) for 6 - 12 hours. After this time, the regenerated filter is washed and rinsed with water outside the pool. This makes the filter ready for further operation.
