The GEL (gel) series battery is designed for, among other things: powering photovoltaic systems or vehicles where the battery is exposed to shock and charging from pulsed sources such as solar controllers. Thanks to its gel electrolyte-based construction, the GEL battery is ideal for cyclic operation even when deeply discharged. Compared to AGM batteries, it achieves several times more discharge cycles. The design life is up to 12 years in equilibrium operation at 25 °C.

- A GEL battery has a similar structure to an AGM battery, except that in a gel battery the electrolyte is stored as a gel paste. This construction makes it more resistant to electrolyte leakage than AGM batteries.
- Automatic sealing system. When the pressure inside the battery is too high, the valves open, allowing the resulting gas to be safely vented outside the casing and preventing damage. This occurs when the battery is overloaded
