The V-PRO ULTRA SOLAR DEEP CYCLE gel-electrolyte battery is designed for repeated charging and discharging and copes with deep discharge as well. It suits photovoltaic systems and vehicles where shocks and charging from pulsed sources, such as solar charge controllers, are to be expected.

Its construction resembles an AGM battery, but the electrolyte is bound in a gel paste, so it resists leakage better. The number of discharge cycles is several times higher than with AGM. In storage use at 25 °C, the design life reaches up to 12 years.
