The outdoor unit

The outdoor unit in the air conditioning system is an important component that serves to remove heat and cold from the interior of the building to the outside environment. This unit contains a compressor and chiller that work together to transfer heat and cold from inside the building to outside. The outdoor unit is often placed outside the building on a wall, roof or ground.

How the outdoor unit works:

Compressor: The compressor is the heart of the air conditioning system. It ensures compression of the coolant, which increases its temperature and pressure. In this way, a higher temperature is created, which enables the transfer of heat from the inside of the building to the outside environment.

Cooler (condenser): The cooler is located in the outdoor unit and serves to transfer heat from the coolant to the outside air. As the hot, compressed refrigerant passes through the cooler, the temperature drops and the refrigerant condenses to a liquid phase. In this way, the released heat is removed to the outside environment.

Fan: The fan in the outdoor unit ensures the flow of outside air through the cooler, thereby ensuring efficient heat removal and heating.

Application of outdoor unit in air conditioning:

The outdoor unit in the air conditioning system is used to:

Cooling: During the system's cool mode, the outdoor unit ensures the removal of thermal air from the interior of the building to the outside environment. This ensures the cooling of the rooms and maintaining a pleasant temperature.

Heating: In some types of systems, such as heat pumps, the outdoor unit can also operate in heating mode. In this case, it receives heat from the outside air and transfers it to the interior of the building for heating.

Air conditioning: The overall function of air conditioning is to regulate temperature, humidity and air quality in the interior. The outdoor unit is a key link in achieving these goals.

Heat extraction: In the case of rooms with technical equipment, such as server rooms or other heat-producing equipment, the outdoor unit can also serve to effectively exhaust excess heat from these equipment.

The outdoor unit is an integral part of most modern air conditioning systems, which allow to regulate the temperature and comfort in the interior of buildings.
