An economical solution and low purchase price with an electrochemical sensor and a 7-year warranty, the Kidde K5DCO carbon monoxide (CO) detector continuously monitors the presence of toxic carbon monoxide in homes or businesses, providing protection from its deadly effects. In addition to a trio of LED indicator lights, it also has an LCD display that continuously displays CO readings and other status information. The detector can be mounted securely on a wall or simply placed loose on a table, shelf or other horizontal surface for convenience. It is an ideal safety feature and reliable protection against this silent killer not only for the home, but also in rented accommodation or on holiday.

By approval, it complies with the latest standards CSN -EN50291:2018 for home carbon monoxide detectors. The K5DCO toxic CO gas leak detector is equipped with a sensor with a 7-year warranty and a 10-year lifetime. The K5DCO carbon monoxide detector with display is equipped with a second-generation electrochemical sensor, guaranteeing the durability and operability of the device for up to 10 years. Battery power supply using two AA alkaline batteries (included) allows the detector to be installed in the optimum location in the interior space, providing permanent protection against this silent killer.

The built-in LCD display shows the carbon monoxide concentration level from 0 to 999 ppm*. Measurement of the lethal hazard of carbon monoxide (CO) is performed by the device at one-second intervals. Exceedance of the permitted CO level is indicated visually (by a red LED indicator) and acoustically (by a loud, pulsating 85dB audible alarm).

Kidde carbon monoxide detectors are equipped with two buttons:

TEST / RESET, which is designed to test and verify the correct functioning of the device and its reset
MAX.CONCENTRATION, which is used to display the highest measured CO level detected since the device memory was reset.

Alarm activation memory: the red LED flashes every 60 seconds if the device has detected a CO concentration of 100 ppm or higher in the last 14 days.
TEST/RESET button: used for operating and controlling the device. When the button is pressed, the device performs a check test of the device's electronics. It is used simultaneously to reset the measured values in the device memory or to silence the alarm at the time of an alarm.
MAX CONCENTRATION button: when pressed, the display shows the highest measured CO level stored in the detector's memory in the range of 11 - 999 ppm
