If the HDD with Mikrotik RouterOS software installed is destroyed/devalued, you can request the Mikrotik software vendor to generate a repair key if you receive an old software ID and a specification of the cause of the HDD degradation. Alternatively, if an already activated license needs to be migrated to another HDD. The eventual assignment of a replacement key or rejection of the request is entirely at the discretion of the Mikrotik supplier, who may make delivery conditional on mediation of the damaged media. (Mikrotik Support can ask you to prove that the old drive is failed, in some cases this means sending us the dead drive). This service is provided as technical support exclusively for software purchased through our company. Replacement Key is not provided by Mikrotik in case of provision of an invalid/compromised SW-ID for which a license has already been generated. In this case, a new license must be purchased. Ordering: When ordering, please specify in the Note in the last step of the order form of the e-shop: 1. SW-ID of the depreciated license 2. Specification of the license media and its depreciation 3. Photodocumentation of the degraded license carrier After reporting to the manufacturer and crediting the corrected key, we will contact you regarding the provision of a new SW-ID to generate a new license key. Activation period: You must activate your Mikrotik OS installation within 24 hours of operation, so we recommend that you turn off the device after installation and copying the SW-ID and wait for the license to be transferred to your account. Failure to do so will result in a permanent switch to License Expired status after 24 hours of operation and the license will be permanently forfeited.
