Neutralization filters
Neutralization filters are essential components in systems using condensing boilers, designed to neutralize acidic condensate and protect against corrosion. These filters are commonly used in residential and commercial heating systems where condensing boilers operate with low-temperature return water. They help maintain system efficiency and extend the lifespan of boiler components by reducing the risk of acidic damage.
Available in a range of sizes and connection types, these filters are tailored to suit boilers of varying capacities. They are typically installed in the return line of the heating system and require regular maintenance, including cartridge replacement, to ensure optimal performance.
How to choose
- Select a filter based on the boiler’s maximum output, such as models suitable for up to 378kW or 800kW.
- Ensure compatibility with the system’s connection type, including 3/4" F, DN16, or other specified thread types.
- Consider the required flow rate and system pressure to match the filter’s hydraulic capabilities.
- Verify whether the filter includes a replaceable cartridge or requires separate spare parts for ongoing maintenance.
Frequently asked questions
What boiler capacities are neutralization filters suitable for?
Filters are available for condensing boilers up to 378kW and 800kW, depending on the model.
How often should the filter cartridge be replaced?
Replacement frequency depends on water quality and usage, but cartridges are typically replaced annually or as needed during system maintenance.
