Where a 16 mm PEX branch needs to end at a threaded port rather than another pipe, this connector does the job in one crimp. It is the smallest size in the range and turns up most often at manifold outlets, radiator tails and angle/shut-off valves, where a compact 1/2'' male thread is the standard fitting size.
The PEX side is permanently secured with a U-profile press jaw - the common crimping profile supported by every standard PEX press tool - while the threaded side is a plain 1/2'' male BSP thread that seats directly against the mating female port with its own sealing washer or thread tape. Nickel-plated brass keeps the fitting corrosion-resistant even when it ends up buried in a wall chase or screed.
