Not every 16 mm branch ends at a small fixture - boilers, pumps and some larger shut-off valves are built around a 3/4'' threaded port even when the feed pipe itself is only 16 mm. This connector bridges exactly that mismatch: one crimp onto the pipe, one thread into the appliance.
The pipe end takes a U-profile press jaw, the standard crimping geometry used across the PEX-AL-PEX system so no special tooling is needed beyond a normal press tool. The 3/4'' male thread on the other end is a plain BSP thread, sealed at the joint with tape or a washer as usual. Nickel-plated brass resists the corrosion that plain brass can suffer over years of contact with heating or domestic water.
