It is common for a 25 mm distribution pipe to run most of its length at full bore and only need to step down once it reaches a valve, pump or appliance built around a 3/4'' port. This connector makes that reduction in a single fitting, with no extra coupling in between.
The 25 mm pipe end takes a U-profile press jaw - identical in profile to every other size in the Hydroland PEX system, so no separate crimping tool is required. The opposite end is a plain 3/4'' male BSP thread, sealed against its mating port with tape or a washer in the usual way. The nickel-plated brass body resists corrosion over the long service life expected of a fitting on a main supply line.
