Surge protector VCX DC class T1T2 (B+C) 3P 1200V 5kA Professional Plus
Code: ABCT_A500006544Product detailed description
Technically advanced surge protector of the highest quality designed for the protection of photovoltaic equipment operating as a surge protector of class B and C. Equipped with a visual indicator of operation (green - protection, red - no protection). New version of DC varistor arrester class T1T2 with Ucpv voltage increased to 1200V. T1T2-DC - protector, which is made using a high quality varistor (MOV) with high flow rate. Therefore, the use of a single varistor meets standards that other manufacturers must meet by using multiple varistors. The protector is only 18mm/1 pole wide and the total width of the 3 poles is only 54mm. In short, the VCX T1T2-DC 1200V class T1T2 protector/surge protector is: - A special high-flow varistor. - Patented cut-out system. - Extremely precise and advanced internal structure. - Reinforced internal contacts. - Special non-flammable housing. Technical specifications - Protection class: T1 T2 - Protective element: varistor - Connection max: 35mm2 - Rated operating voltage: Un 1200V DC (+PE,-PE) - Test current: In(8/20) 20 kA - Max current: Imax(8/20) 40 kA - Pulse current: Iimp(10/350) 5kA - Voltage protection level: up to <4.75 kV - Storage temperature: -30/+70°C - Operating temperature: -30/+50°C - Protection rating: IP 20 Surge protection classes Surge protection is divided into 4 basic classes A, B, C and D according to location and surge magnitude. - Class A - Surge arresters located in high voltage distribution systems. Protects the distribution network, from the effects of atmospheric surges. - Class B - Lightning arrester - reduces the voltage and limits the energy of a surge wave caused by a direct or indirect lightning strike, the main protective element is a spark arrestor (lightning arrester). The construction is usually multi-part, consisting of a base and replaceable disposable modules, with optical status indication. It is installed as close as possible to the interface between the protected and unprotected environment, i.e. at the entrance of the supply cable to the building, usually in the junction boxes or the main meter cabinet. - Class C - Surge Arrester - limits surges caused by indirect lightning strikes and switching processes in networks. It is used as the second stage in a three-stage protection system. Protection is provided by a spark arrestor or by a solid-state varistor or transistor. The protection is provided once, after disconnection the arrester must be replaced. In the case of a modular design, only the disconnected module is changed. It is installed in the branch substations of the dwellings at a distance of at least 15 m (cable length) from the class B arrester. - Class D - Surge arresters designed for the protection of highly surge sensitive equipment. Reduces voltage and limits surge energy caused by indirect lightning strikes or network switching processes. Use in residential and commercial applications as the third stage (soft protection) in a 3 stage surge protection system. Single protection provided by a semiconductor varistor or transistor. Installation must be made as close as possible to the protected equipment, usually in the form of sockets or extension leads with optical or acoustic switch-off signalling. Overvoltage - division - Switching overvoltages - internal influences, influenced by switching processes in the network. - Atmospheric voltages - external influences, most often a lightning strike on the power grid. Why get a surge protector? At first glance, the purchase of surge protectors seems like a significant investment. However, if you are hit by a switching or atmospheric surge, the investment in a surge protector is a small amount compared to if your appliances (TV, fridge or washing machine) are irreparably damaged or your wiring burns out. For proven electrical surge faults, appliance manufacturers do not accept claims. If you are building a new house today, having surge protection installed is desirable. When lightning damage occurs, surge protection plays a big role in whether or not an insurance claim will be made. For this reason, getting a surge protector is a highly cost-effective investment that will secure your home. NOTICE Due to the risk associated with possible incorrect connection of the equipment, we recommend that installation is carried out by a qualified person with an electrical qualification. We are not responsible for improper wiring and any damage caused by it.Additional parameters
