The UT309E professional non-contact infrared thermometer can quickly and accurately determine surface temperatures between -35°C and +850°C by measuring the infrared energy emitted from the target surface. To make it easier and more intuitive to aim the instrument at the target surface, a dual-wavelength rotating laser is incorporated to indicate the correct aim of the thermometer. The ratio of distance to diameter of the surface to be measured is 20 :1 for this instrument. This thermometer is also IP65 rated against water and dust and can withstand a drop from up to 3 meters. It is possible to preset the emissivity of the surface to be measured between 0.1 and 1.0. The indication of the preset functions and measured values is provided by a bright and high contrast EBTN colour display and the limit values are indicated by LEDs. It is possible to set the system time and schedule repeat measurements in the future with a set maximum interval of up to 96 hours between two measurements up to 99 measured values stored in memory. For each stored value, the measurement time is also stored. These measurements make use of the built-in standard hole for attaching to a tripod. Temperature measurement time is within 250msec 95% of the time. It is possible to set a minimum and maximum limit of values, and when values are measured outside this interval, this is indicated acoustically and visually. Indication of minimum, maximum and average temperatures and deviations from the average ( MIN, MAX, AVG, DIF ) is possible. The thermometer switches off automatically, to reduce power consumption, if it is without use for 8 s. This switching off can be switched off.
