The EdgeRouter 4 is suitable wherever large amounts of data need to be routed, in small and medium-sized businesses and wherever network security is emphasized. The entire operation is controlled by a quad-core processor clocked up to 1 GHz, MIPS64 with hardware acceleration for packet processing. The EdgeRouter offers all the basic features you expect in a router. Central management The EdgeRouter can be managed using the intuitive EdgeOS operating system, which allows for web-based management, as well as a CLI for advanced features via SSH and Telnet.
