The LTU-XR is a PtMP client unit for the 5GHz band with a 29dBi antenna gain and proprietary LTU wireless technology that is not based on the limited 802.11 standard, achieving real TCP/IP speeds of 550 Mbps+ and modulation up to 1024 QAM. The unit also features a Bluetooth radio for management and initial setup using the UISP app directly from the mast where you install it. Compatibility LTU is an entirely new platform based on proprietary technology that does not use the 802.11 protocol. It is therefore not compatible with airMAX M5 or airMAX 5AC series devices. On the other hand, although LTU is based on the technology used by airFiber products, it uses a different protocol for communication and so LTU products are not compatible with either AF-5X or AF-5/5U products.
