PBE-5AC-500 is a suitable device for PtP links with 27dBi antenna gain from the AC series, which achieves very high transmission speeds and stable connections even in busy environments. The unit is only compatible with other airMAX AC products and is designed for outdoor use. With possible channel width settings of 10/20/30/40/50/60 and 80MHz, real throughput of up to 450Mbps+ can be achieved using 256QAM. High performance Inside the PowerBeam is a powerful 720MHz MIPS Atheros 74KC processor, which is backed by 128MB of DDR2-type RAM and 16MB of Flash memory. The network port supports 10/100/1000 Ethernet and can be used to power the unit with the included passive Gigabit PoE 24V/0.5A adapter (active 802.3af PoE is not supported). InnerFeed technology InnerFeed™ technology integrates the radio portion into the radiator from the antenna eliminating potential loss on the RF cable. End-to-end directivity The shape and size of the PowerBeam offers the highest possible antenna gain. Plus, with its eccelent directivity, the PoweBeam will work great even in more cluttered environments. Radom The PowerBeam package includes a radome for protection from all natural elements.
