In the event that your primary WAN connection goes down, the Ubiquiti U-LTE-Pro will provide a backup mobile internet connection to keep your network online. This model works in the EU and supports European LTE bands (1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28) and WCDMA (1 and 8). LTE coverage and speed depends on your mobile network. The device can only work with UniFi Security Gateway or UniFi Dream Machine and UniFi Network Controller version 5.14.0 or higher is required. It is not a router but an LTE modem that works only with USG. PoE IN and OUT support You can place the Ubiquiti U-LTE-Pro anywhere where the best signal is as it can be powered by 802.3at PoE+ from a switch such as the UniFI PoE Switch. You can mount it on the wall using the mounting bracket or you have the option of gluing and mounting it on a surface. The device has a secondary port that offers bridging and passive PoE pass-through (useful for a camera, access point or other device). Device status display You can view status information (whether the device is in ready or active mode) on the 1.5" screen. The device includes a built-in high quality LTE antenna, however you can also connect an external antenna with higher gain to the SMA female connector located on the bottom of the device.
