Victron Energy Cyrix-Li-Charge 12/24V 120A Battery Connector The Cyrix battery interconnect is a microprocessor controlled power relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one battery has reached a preset voltage (indicating that the battery is charging) and disconnects batteries when the voltage drops below the float voltage (indicating that one or more batteries are discharged). Cyrix battery isolators are a good replacement for Argo Diodes. Their main advantage is that they show virtually no voltage drop and therefore the output voltage of charging alternators or battery chargers does not need to be increased. Cyrix-Li-Charge connects the battery charger with a 3 second delay: if the control input is supplied by the BMS and at the same time if the charger contact is more than 13.7V (or 27.4V or 54.8V), if there is more than 2V on the battery contact (the Cyrix remains open until it is connected to the battery). The Cyrix-Li-Charge will shut down immediately whenever there is no power at its control input from the BMS, due to overvoltage or overheating of the battery cell. Generally, the cell overvoltage alarm resets shortly after charging is stopped. The Cyrix will then reconnect the charger after 3 seconds. After two attempts, the 3 second delay is extended to 10 minutes. If the battery voltage is less than 13.5V (or 27V or 54V), the Cyrix will disconnect with a delay of 1 hour. Note 1: In the case of zero discharge current or low discharge current, the Cyrix will not disconnect shortly after the charger is turned off or disconnected because the battery voltage will remain higher than 13.5V. Note 2: If the charger output immediately rises to 13.7V or more after the Cyrix is disconnected, the Cyrix will turn back on with a 3 second delay.
