Victron Energy Cyrix-Li-ct 12/24V 120A battery connector The Cyrix battery interconnect is a microprocessor controlled power relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one battery has reached a preset voltage (indicating that the battery is charging) and disconnects batteries when the voltage drops below the float voltage (indicating that one or more batteries are discharged). Cyrix battery isolators are a good replacement for Argo Diodes. Their main advantage is that they show virtually no voltage drop and therefore the output voltage of charging alternators or battery chargers does not need to be increased. The principle of operation of Cyrix-Li-ct is similar to that of Cyrix-ct. The Cyrix-Li-ct connects the lead acid starter battery and the LiFePO4 service battery in parallel: - when the BMS output "Charger" is active, and at the same time: - when a voltage of 13.4 V (or 26.8 V) or more is detected on one of the batteries Cyrix-Li-ct will immediately disconnect the batteries: - if the BMS output "Charger" is inactive due to high voltage or temperature of the LiFePO4 battery cells and/or - if the battery voltage drops below 13.2 V. "Start assist" function: a short double contact to the negative battery terminal switches the relay on for 30 seconds, see diagram below. The integrated TVS diode limits any voltage spikes that may occur when the Cyrix relay is disconnected.
