Victron Energy LiFePO battery 12,8V/200Ah - Smart
Code: ABCT_A500007692Product detailed description
Victron Energy's smart lithium batteries are lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries and are available in 12.8V or 25.6V in various capacities. They can be wired in series, parallel and series/parallel to create a battery bank for system voltages of 12V, 24V or 48V. The maximum number of batteries in a single system is 20, allowing a maximum of 84kWh of energy to be stored in a 12V system and up to 102kWh in a 24V or 48V system. To reduce the required balancing time, we recommend using as few different batteries in series as possible for the application. 24V systems are best built using 24V batteries and 48V systems are best built using two 24V batteries in series. The alternative of four 12V batteries in series does work, but requires more time for regular balancing. An external BMS must be used. BMS to be purchased separately. One LFP cell has a nominal voltage of 3.2V. The 12.8V battery consists of 4 cells in series and the 25.6V battery consists of 8 cells in series. Why lithium iron phosphate batteries? Durable A lead acid battery will fail prematurely due to sulfation: If the battery is operated in a deficiency mode for long periods of time (i.e., if it is rarely or never fully charged). If it is left partially charged or, in a worse case, completely discharged (yacht or mobile home in winter). LFP batteries: May not be fully charged. Lifetime even increases slightly if partially charged instead of fully charged. This is the main advantage of LFP compared to lead-acid batteries. Other advantages are the wide operating temperature range, excellent cycling performance, low internal resistance and high efficiency. LFP is therefore a suitable choice for demanding applications. Efficient In many applications (especially off-grid solar and/or wind), energy efficiency can be critical. The bi-directional energy efficiency (discharge from 100% to 0% and back to 100% charge) of an average lead-acid battery is 80%. The bidirectional energy efficiency of an LFP battery is 92%. The charging process of lead-acid batteries becomes particularly inefficient when the 80% state of charge is reached, resulting in an efficiency of 50% or even less in solar systems where several days of energy storage is required (the battery operates at 70% to 100% state of charge). In contrast, the LFP battery reaches 90% efficiency even under shallow discharge conditions. Dimensions and weight Space saving up to 70% Weight savings of up to 70% Expensive? LFP batteries are expensive compared to lead-acid batteries. However, in demanding applications, the high initial cost will be more than compensated by the longer lifetime, excellent reliability and superior efficiency. Bluetooth Cell voltage, temperature and alarm status can be monitored using Bluetooth. Instant readout: The VictronConnect app can display the most important readings on the device list page without the need to connect to the product. Very useful for locating a (potential) problem, such as cell imbalance. Our LFP batteries have integrated cell balancing and monitoring. Cables for cell balancing/monitoring can be daisy chained and must be connected to a battery management system (BMS). Battery Management System (BMS) Generates a pre-alarm whenever the battery cell voltage drops below 3.1V (adjustable 2.85V - 3.15V). Disconnects or shuts down the load whenever the battery cell voltage drops to less than 2.8V (adjustable 2.6V - 2.8V). Stops the charging process whenever the battery cell voltage rises to more than 3.75V or when the temperature is too high or low.Additional parameters
