The stated dimensions of 355 × 355 × 120 mm define the footprint and depth of the basin, which are essential for ensuring proper fit within the designated countertop space. The presence of a pre-drilled aperture allows for the installation of a standard wall-mounted tap without additional modifications. The material—sanitary ceramic—is selected for its durability and ease of cleaning under normal usage conditions. These factors influence both the choice of supporting structures and the long-term performance of the unit.

Installation and connection

Mounting the Bella countertop washbasin involves securing it directly onto a solid work surface such as a bathroom vanity top or a freestanding countertop. The basin does not require any through-hole cutouts apart from the pre-drilled tap aperture and the standard drain hole. To ensure stability, it is recommended to use mounting clips or adhesive, depending on the surface material. The installer should verify that all necessary openings are correctly aligned and that the basin is level before final fixation. Common installation errors include improper sealing around the edges or incorrect positioning of the tap aperture, which can lead to water leakage or structural instability. Connection to the water supply and waste systems should be carried out by a qualified plumber to meet local regulations and safety standards.

Compatibility and accessories

This washbasin is designed for use with standard wall-mounted taps that fit the pre-drilled aperture. For complete functionality, additional components such as a waste outlet, overflow mechanism, and mounting hardware must be sourced separately. Since no alternative models are listed, installers should confirm that all required fittings are available before beginning the installation process. The compatibility of the basin with the supporting structure is critical to avoid load-bearing issues, especially in lightweight or modular countertop designs.

Technical background for designers

The Bella washbasin operates as a passive water containment unit, relying on gravity for drainage. The ceramic body is fired at high temperatures to achieve a dense, non-porous surface that resists staining and bacterial growth. The matte black finish is achieved through a post-firing glazing process that reduces light reflection and enhances the visual contrast against surrounding fixtures. The choice of material ensures long-term durability provided the surface is protected from impact damage. The square profile allows for flexible layout options, including alignment with square or rectangular vanities, and facilitates uniformity in multi-basin configurations. The thickness of the ceramic body contributes to thermal insulation and minimises condensation when exposed to cold water flow.

Service and operation

Regular maintenance includes wiping the surface dry after use to prevent water marks and streaks. The matte finish tends to hide water spots better than glossy surfaces, but consistent cleaning is still recommended to preserve the appearance. The manufacturer offers a two-year warranty covering manufacturing defects, excluding damage caused by misuse or improper installation. There are no scheduled service intervals specified for this model, but periodic inspection of the mounting points and seal integrity is advised to detect early signs of wear or loosening.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Bella washbasin be mounted on a wooden countertop?
Yes, provided the surface is sufficiently thick and rigid to support the weight of the basin and accumulated water. Use appropriate mounting clips or adhesives suitable for wood.

Is the matte black ceramic surface resistant to scratches?
No, the ceramic surface is susceptible to scratches from abrasive materials or sharp objects. Cleaning should be done using soft cloths and non-abrasive detergents.

Does the basin require a separate overflow fitting?
No, the model does not specify a requirement for an overflow. However, in high-traffic areas or where prolonged water accumulation is expected, an overflow may be added as an optional accessory.

How should I clean water stains on the matte black surface?
Use a microfibre cloth and a mild detergent solution. Avoid scrubbing, as this may damage the surface finish. Dry thoroughly after cleaning to prevent water film formation.
