Ermenrich Zing AL30 is a car battery tester, i.e. a portable diagnostic device. The basic battery test includes voltage, internal resistance and cold cranking current (CCA) testing. The instrument also has two additional modes of operation: vehicle starting system testing and charging system testing. The instrument also provides a final evaluation of the battery condition and recommends battery replacement in case of low values.

The device is connected to the battery by two step clamps. The built-in display shows all measurements and is operated via controls located at the bottom. The instrument is charged via the battery under test and no additional power supply is required.
