At G2, this is the largest valve in the range, sized for a building's main water riser, a pump station discharge main, or another point in a larger commercial or industrial installation where a high volume of water needs to be kept from running backward.
Despite the larger bore, the operating principle is unchanged — a brass spindle keeps the disc guided so it opens freely under forward flow and closes immediately the moment flow reverses.
