MPPT solar controller EPEVER XTRA - new generation of solar controllers brings high quality and maximum equipment for island systems with panel voltage up to 100 V and maximum charging current 10 A. Battery 12/24V, PV max130/260Wp.
This solar controller is suitable for a wide range of island applications such as cottages, houses, etc.
It is also suitable for use in vehicles thanks to the possibility of earthing to the minus pole.
A multifunction display is integrated directly in the MPPT controller for easy monitoring of the system and possible adjustment of operating parameters, including control LEDs.
The regulator works as an inverter, that is, it can process higher input voltage and lower current to lower voltage/increase current with high efficiency. So we can use almost any solar panel. The controller is compatible with lead acid and lithium ion batteries.
The solar controller is equipped with the latest MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology - maximum power point tracking with a sophisticated tracking algorithm where the solar module operates at the ideal voltage that the solar module can produce at the highest available power. When compared to a conventional PWM controller, MPPT technology increases charging efficiency by about 30%.
The maximum charging power to the battery of this model is 10A which corresponds to a panel power of 130 Wp if you have a 12V battery, or 260 Wp if you have a 24V battery. In case the panel will give higher power, then the controller will only limit it to its nominal max power. The power of the PV panels must not be higher than 1.5 times the nominal power of the controller!

The maximum charging power to the battery of this model is 10A which corresponds to a panel power of 130 Wp if you have a 12V battery, or 260 Wp if you have a 24V battery. In case the panel will give higher power, then the controller will only limit it to its nominal max power. The power of the PV panels must not be higher than 1.5 times the nominal power of the controller!
You can connect solar panels in series, but their output voltage at empty, referred to as Voc, must never exceed the value of the empty voltage Voc 100V - exceeding this value will permanently damage the regulator (here it is necessary to take into account that the voltage of the solar panel increases with decreasing ambient temperature and the value of Voc specified in the parameters of the solar panel is at 25C. Therefore, we do not recommend that the value of the stated Voc exceeds 90V)
Setting the controller parameters (mainly the type of battery used) is done using the built-in LCD of the XDS2, ormT50 external display - not included in the controller.

Parameter setting and monitoring can also be done on your PC - you will only needEPsolar USB communication cable and software, which you can download for free in the related documents. It can also be monitored and set up using a mobile phone/tablet. For this you will needbluetooth module BLE-01.

Quick installation:
1. We connect a battery to the solar controller. Install a suitably sized DC fuse on the plus wire as close to the battery pole as possible (position 3)
2. Connect the load (position 4)
3. Connect solar panel (position 2)

(position 5) - possibility to connect external display MT-50, USB communication cable for communication with PC or Bluetooth module BLE-01 for communication with mobile phone/tablet
