The FRESIA Element AV-TTW6-W is a decentralised ventilation unit that is built into the external wall and ventilates the room it sits in. There is no central duct network to plan or install: one core-drilled opening takes the whole unit. Stale indoor air and fresh outdoor air pass through it in alternating phases, and a ceramic core stores the heat of the outgoing air before handing it to the incoming air.

This push-pull ERV principle works in 75-second cycles. Besides sensible heat, the ceramic exchanger returns a part of the moisture to the room, so the air does not dry out as quickly in winter as it would with an open window, while excess humidity and the risk of mould are still reduced. The EPREL database lists a thermal efficiency of 76 % (sensible heat); for the ceramic core alone the manufacturer states a regeneration efficiency of up to 97 % (heat plus moisture).

Running costs are modest. Maximum power input is 11.3 W, the annual electricity consumption is 1.3 kWh, and the unit is rated energy class A for the average climate (EPREL 2708155, Regulation 1254/2014). Specific energy consumption is -83.8 (cold), -41.2 (average) and -16.7 kWh/(m²·year) (warm climate). The reversible EC-motor fan has a labelled sound power of 36 dB.

One unit ventilates roughly 20–25 m²; two units working as a pair cover a space of up to about 50 m².

Installation requirements

• One core drill hole of Ø170 mm in the external wall, with an air duct of Ø159 mm inserted.
• Suitable wall thickness: 230–420 mm. For thicker walls a 600 mm duct is available as an option.
• Indoor front panel 205 × 205 mm, depth of the indoor part 60 mm, outdoor cover 129 mm. The front cover has an automatic flap.
• Mains supply 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz; ingress protection IP22; net weight 3.4 kg.
• Not intended for air containing flammable or explosive mixtures, chemical fumes, soot or oil.

Controls and operating modes

Three modes are available: supply, extract and regeneration (heat recovery). Airflow has three levels – 26 / 55 / 64 m³/h for supply and extract, and 14 / 27 / 32 m³/h in regeneration mode. The unit is operated with the remote control, indicated by LED, or through the Smart Life / Tuya app over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Two units can be linked in Leader–Follower mode so that one supplies while the other extracts; the recommended distance between them is 8–15 m.

FAQ

How often does it need maintenance?
Clean the filters according to how dirty they get, at least 3–4 times a year. The ceramic exchanger should be vacuumed at least once a year.

Can two units work together?
Yes. In Leader–Follower mode they alternate between supply and extract, which gives balanced ventilation of a larger space.

Does it need a duct system?
No. The unit is installed directly in the wall opening and works without any central ducting.
