Huawei AC650-256AP Wireless Access Controller 10x GB ETH, 2x 10GB SFP
Code: ABCT_A500006454Product detailed description
High-capacity and high-performance design Manages up to 256 access points, meeting the requirements of SOHO campuses. Provides 2 x 10GE optical interfaces and 10 x GE electrical interfaces that support up to 10 Gbps forwarding performance. SmartRadio for AP air interface optimization Load balancing for intelligent roaming: The load balancing algorithm enables the detection of load balancing between APs in the network after STA roaming to adjust the STA load on each AP, which improves network stability. Dynamic Frequency Allocation (DFA) intelligent technology. Through automatic negotiation between APs, the redundant radio is automatically switched to another mode (AP models with dual 5G support switching from 2.4G to 5G) or turned off to reduce 2.4GHz co-channel interference and increase system capacity. Intelligent Conflict Optimization Technology: Dynamic Enhanced Distributed Channel Access (EDCA) and airtime scheduling algorithms are used to schedule each user's channel occupancy time and service priority. This ensures that each user is allocated a relatively equal amount of time to use the channel resources and user services are scheduled in an orderly manner, which improves service processing efficiency and user experience. Different roles The WAC device has a built-in Portal/AAA server and can provide user authentication using the Portal/802.1X protocol, thus protecting customers' investment. Flexible network connectivity The WAC network can be deployed in in-path, off-path, bridge or mesh mode and supports both centralized and local forwarding modes. WAC devices and access points can be networked at Layer 2 or Layer 3. In addition, network address translation (NAT) can be deployed when APs are deployed on a private network and the WAC is deployed on a public network. The WAC is compatible with Huawei 802.11n, 802.11ac, and 802.11ax APs and supports hybrid networking of 802.11n, 802.11ac, and 802.11ax APs for easy scalability. Built-in application identification server Supports Layer 4 to Layer 7 application identification and can identify more than 6,000 applications, including common office applications and P2P download applications such as Lync, FaceTime, YouTube, and Facebook. It supports application-based policy management technologies, including traffic blocking, traffic throttling and priority adjustment policies. Supports automatic extension of applications in the application signature database without the need for software updates. Comprehensive reliability design Supports WAC 1+1 HSB and N+1 backup, ensuring uninterrupted service. Supports port backup based on Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) or Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP). Supports WAN authentication leakage between access points and WAC devices. In local forwarding mode, this feature keeps existing STAs online and allows new STAs to access when the AP is disconnected from the WAC, ensuring continuity of service. Built-in visualised network management platform The AC650-256AP has a built-in web-based system that is easy to configure and provides comprehensive monitoring and intelligent diagnostics. Dashboard A single page integrates real-time summary and statistics. KPIs are displayed in graphs, including user, radio and access point performance, allowing users to gain useful insights from a vast amount of data while having an instant overview of device and network status. Profile-based configuration by access point group simplifies configuration and increases efficiency. The web-based system supports configuration by AP group and automatically selects common parameters for users, simplifying configuration. If the configuration of two AP groups differs only slightly, users can copy the configuration of one AP group to the other. This improves configuration efficiency because users only need to modify the original configurations instead of creating completely new ones each time. One-click diagnostics solve 80% of common network problems The web-based system supports real-time intelligent diagnostics and periodic one-click diagnostics from user, AP and WAC device dimensions, providing actionable suggestions for troubleshooting.
