MHPower MS38-12(L) Lithium battery LiFePO4 12V/38Ah, Terminal LC1 - M6
Code: ABCT_A500007726Product detailed description
The lithium iron phosphate battery (LiFePO4) is characterised by its exceptional lifetime, capacity stability and charging speed. One of its main advantages is its very low weight, about 30% of the weight of lead-acid batteries. LiFePO4 batteries retain more than 80% of their capacity even after 2,000 charge cycles. Thanks to the low self-discharge, the battery will be fully functional even after one year of non-use. Due to their high lifetime, low weight and charging parameters, the batteries are used in recreational vehicles, caravans, boats or in combination with photovoltaics to power houses. MHPower LiFePO4 batteries are equipped with an integrated BMS (Battery Management System) that controls the discharge and charging processes. If a problem occurs during charging or discharging, the BMS immediately intervenes and adjusts the charging/discharging parameters or interrupts the charging/discharging process completely. Thus, no additional BMS is required. We have stress tested our MHPower lithium batteries at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, where their incredible robustness and stability were confirmed. The usable capacity of these batteries is at least 94%. Self-discharge only around 2-3% of capacity per year! So there is no need to recharge the battery regularly before and after the season. Safety: LiFePO4 have an extremely stable chemical composition and are safe. LiFePO4 are NON-FIREABLE! They will not explode or ignite on impact in the event of overcharging or short-circuiting. However, like other lithium-ion batteries, they also have some disadvantages, including reduced performance at low temperatures. At negative temperatures or freezing, several adverse phenomena occur that affect the performance of LiFePO4 batteries. These include: - Slowing of ion diffusion in the electrolyte and electrodes. This reduces the rate of chemical reactions that generate electric current. This means that the battery has lower capacity and performance when discharging and lower efficiency when charging. - Increasing the internal resistance of the battery. This causes a loss of energy in the form of heat and reduces the battery voltage. This limits the maximum current that can be drawn from or supplied to the battery. - Risk of damage to the battery. If the battery is charged at temperatures below 0°C, lithium dendrite formation on the anode may occur. These are sharp crystals of lithium that can puncture the separator between the electrodes and cause a short circuit or fire. It is therefore recommended to charge LiFePO4 batteries only at temperatures above 0 °C. For these reasons, it is advisable to operate LiFePO4 batteries in the temperature range of 0 °C to 60 °C to ensure optimum performance and lifetime. At lower temperatures, the battery must be protected from frost and charged carefully.Additional parameters
