The largest size in this range, the 6/4" oblique sediment filter is intended for the main water inlet of a building – an apartment block, a larger commercial unit or the main riser of a bigger house – where a single filter needs to protect every downstream fitting, water heater and appliance in the whole system. Its brass body is built for sustained higher flow while still keeping pressure loss to a minimum, and the strainer is serviced through a bottom cleaning nut without shutting down or cutting into the main.
