PolyHMG disinfection removes discolouration and odours of organic origin. It has strong algicidal ("anti-algae") effects. It contains no added chlorine, alcohol, aldehyde, phenol, lye, formaldehyde or heavy metals and has a balanced pH. It eliminates all types of bacteria, viruses, algae and fungi and is recommended for use in new wells before water analysis. PolyWELL disinfectant is used to disinfect boreholes, wells, water and retention tanks is especially designed for wells that have been flooded or have not been used for a long period of time. By applying this disinfection you will help the water source to regenerate and clean itself. It is also suitable as a preventive measure, where you can keep the water clean and of good quality in the long term thanks to the clustering of bacteria. PolyHMG with antimicrobial properties is a compound of Alkyl with a guanide based copolymer. PolyHMG owes its function mainly to the ability of its guanide functional groups to form bonds with the cell membrane of pathogenic microbes. Once bound, the guanide functional group penetrates the cytoplasm of the cell and suppresses its regulatory function. By disrupting it, it renders the cell unable to function as it needs to and eventually dies.
