Some fixtures - larger valves, certain boiler inlets, outdoor tap connections - are built around a 3/4'' port specifically because they need to pass more flow than a 1/2'' thread comfortably allows. Paired with 20 mm pipe, this connector keeps that flow capacity intact right up to the threaded joint instead of throttling it down.
The PEX end crimps on with a U-profile press jaw, the same profile used across the whole Hydroland PEX line so one press tool handles every size. The male thread is a plain 3/4'' BSP, sealed conventionally with tape or a washer against its mating female port. Nickel-plated brass gives the fitting long-term corrosion resistance, useful wherever the joint ends up hidden behind a wall or floor finish.
