SCAPA - Self Vulcanizing Insulating Tape 38mm x 10m - Shrink
Code: ABCT_A500000552Product detailed description
The self-cured insulating tape is based on PIB (Polyisobutylene) rubber. It is a versatile material for waterproofing, corrosion protection, splicing and cable management. The tape provides essential protection for connections in outdoor installations in power distribution systems, telecommunications, RF installations - especially in outdoor applications. Characteristic features Length: 10m Width: 38mm Colour: black Temperature range: -40 ... +90 oC The tape bonds quickly when applied under tension (pulling). Compatible with a wide range of rubber and plastic non-conductive cable insulation (e.g. PE, PVC, butyl, neoprene). High resistance to long-term immersion in water and excellent ozone resistance USES: This is a non-adhesive tape - the sealing effect is maintained due to the self-coupling between the layers of this tape. The surface to be used must be dry, free of dust and grease. The installation temperature must be above 0°C (higher temperatures reduce the time required for self-adhesive bonding - at 20°C it takes approximately 24 hours). The last wrap is homogeneous, tightly adhering to the surface. It cannot be peeled off - the only way to remove the tape is to cut it lengthwise. The tape does not react with the substrate, nor does it leave marks on it.Additional parameters
