The UT205E digital clamp meter is used to measure AC and DC voltages up to 1000V, AC currents up to 1000A and frequency for low voltage (LV) up to 1000V in the range of 40Hz to 400Hz and for current up to 1000A in the range of 40Hz to 60Hz and for low voltage (MV) 10Hz to 1MHz. On all ranges, it has protection against voltages greater than 1000V and an audible and optical alarm. The 43mm x 45mm four-segment multi-segment display has a backlight and fast refresh rate (3 times/sec). Maximum display value 6000. Jaw opening allows measurement on cables up to 42mm diameter. Non-contact sensing of the electric field (NCV) allows the detection of live conductors. The included probe - probe tip cover on test cables allows measurement on CAT III LV distribution lines without arcing hazard. Without the spike covers, the test cables can only be measured on CAT II LV distribution lines (e.g. 230V sockets). The sensor is a sensitive inductive current loop. Power supply batteries 3pcs 1,5V R03. Meter input power is approx. 1.8 mA. The device has an automatic power saving function - after 15 minutes it goes into sleep mode, when it has a consumption of only <50μA, which effectively extends the battery life. The power saving function can be switched off.
