Filters for drinking water
This category includes filter housings and replaceable filter elements for potable water applications. Products are available in 5“, 9 3/4“, 10“, and 20“ sizes, with configurations for cold and hot water. These filters are suitable for point-of-use and point-of-entry systems in residential and commercial water treatment setups.
Filter options include disposable and washable cartridges, single and dual-stage units, and models with or without internal liners. Threaded connections are commonly 3/4", 1", 5/4", or 6/4" female threads, depending on the model and application.
How to choose
- Confirm the filter housing size (e.g., 10", 20", or 9 3/4") to match the existing system or installation requirements.
- Verify the connection type and thread size (e.g., 3/4", 1", or 6/4" F) to ensure compatibility with plumbing fittings.
- Select between disposable or washable cartridges based on maintenance preferences and water quality conditions.
- Check whether the filter is designed for cold water only or can handle hot water, depending on the system’s use.
- Ensure the filter housing is compatible with the intended filter media (e.g., PP, OTR, or OTR-DUPLEX configurations).
Frequently asked questions
Can a 10" filter housing be used for hot water?
Yes, some 10" models are specifically designed for hot water applications and must be selected accordingly.
What is the difference between a disposable and a washable filter cartridge?
Disposable cartridges are intended for one-time use and must be replaced after clogging, while washable cartridges can be cleaned and reused, depending on the media type.
How do I identify the correct filter size for a 9 3/4" housing?
Look for models with "9 3/4"" in the product name or dimensions, and confirm the connection thread type matches the installation requirements.
