Product detailed description

Carbon monoxide (CO) detector, moisture resistant. The device is powered by 2pcs of alkaline 1.5V AA batteries included in the package. The Kidde K7CO carbon monoxide (CO) detector continuously monitors the presence of poisonous carbon monoxide in homes or businesses, providing protection from its deadly effects. It has a trio of indicator LEDs through which it indicates status information. The detector can be mounted securely on a wall or simply placed loose on a table, shelf or other horizontal surface for convenience. It is an ideal safety feature and reliable protection against this silent killer not only for the home, but also in rented accommodation, on holiday, when travelling in caravans, motorhomes, trailers or boats. By approval, it complies with the latest CSN -EN50291:2018 standards for home carbon monoxide detectors. The Kidde K7CO toxic CO gas leak detector features an industrial sensor with a 10 year warranty and lifetime. This makes its operating time 40% longer than most conventional CO alarms commonly offered on our market. After 10 years of protection, the device will announce the end of its life and pass on the information that it needs to be replaced. Moisture Resistant Carbon Monoxide Detector - Model Kidde K7CO Kidde products in the CO detection category meet the latest and most demanding criteria of the CSN -EN50291-1:2018 standard and it is no coincidence that they are among the world's top safety products, relied upon for many years by both the general public and professionals worldwide. The K7CO carbon monoxide detector is equipped with a second-generation electrochemical sensor, guaranteeing the durability and operability of the device for up to 10 years. The battery power supply using two AA alkaline batteries (included) allows the detector to be installed in the optimum location in the interior space, providing permanent protection from this silent killer. CO detector with NANOWAX conformal coating to protect the device electronics even in very humid environments. The device can thus be placed or installed, for example, in bathrooms with karma, gas boilers, boiler rooms, etc. The device measures the lethal hazard of carbon monoxide (CO) at one-second intervals. Exceeding the permitted CO level is indicated visually (by a red LED indicator) and acoustically (by a loud, pulsating 85dB audible alarm). Kidde carbon monoxide detectors are equipped with push buttons: - Test/Reset, which is designed to test and verify the proper functioning of the device and reset it The device also offers a new feature that informs about the alarm activation in the last 14 days, so that the user can make sure that no unwanted concentration of carbon monoxide has been detected by the detector even in his absence. The status of the sensor, batteries and internal circuitry is automatically monitored by a microprocessor controlled security system. If a malfunction, any operating anomaly or low capacity of the power batteries is detected, this condition will be indicated visually by a yellow LED indicator displaying the corresponding information on the LCD display accompanied by an appropriate alarm acoustic signal. In addition, the Kidde K7CO detector is equipped with a simulation test function to quickly check the correct response of the CO sensor to the test gas. Thanks to the special design, it is not necessary to install the device firmly on a wall in the room, but it is also possible to freely place the detector on flat surfaces such as a bedside table, shelf, etc. Carbon monoxide is a colourless, tasteless and odourless gas that is produced by the misfiring of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, natural gas, LPG and wood. It can also be produced by poorly maintained or faulty fuel-burning appliances used for domestic heating, such as: boilers, gas appliances, karmas, barbecues, blocked chimneys, ventilation systems or damaged flue pipes. Common symptoms of CO poisoning include headaches, nausea, fatigue or muscle pain - but these can easily be confused with a diagnosis of flu. It is therefore important to protect your family and home with carbon monoxide detectors. Testing the Kidde K7CO detector The best way to test and maintain a CO detector sensor in working order is through a test kit with SAFE 400 calibration gas. This test gas verifies that the detector's circuitry and systems are operating reliably and that the CO sensor is actively responding to the appropriate level of carbon monoxide concentration. Advantages of the device - Kidde electrochemical technology - second-generation sensors, the most accurate electrochemical sensors in the world, take measurements at one-second intervals - 40% longer sensor life than other manufacturers on the market - NANOWAX layer protects the device electronics against moisture - Loud 85 dB alarm signal - Test/Reset function - reset, test and verify proper device operation - Alarm activity function for the last 14 days - Battery powered with approval for use in caravans, motorhomes and boats - Shock-resistant housing design - Wall mounted or free standing installation on a flat surface - End-of-life device signal - Low operating costs, small size and weight - Easy installation and handling - Timeless and modern design - 10-year warranty (not applicable to power batteries) Carbon monoxide detection device with certification confirming compliance with the requirements of the Czech technical standard ČSN-EN EN50291-1:2018 for home carbon monoxide detectors. Compliance with this standard has been confirmed by the independent research laboratory of the British Standard Institute (BSI). *for concentrations in the range 0 - 30 ppm, the marking is "0".
