The IVAR.EUROTANK VS1 1000 is a steel storage cylinder for producing and storing domestic hot water. Instead of a fixed coil it has one integrated Ø 290 / 220 mm flange that takes an IVAR.SR tinned copper heating insert, so the tank can be combined with boilers, heat pumps, stove inserts or solar systems in closed heating circuits. Electric heating elements may be used for emergency heating only.

Installation requirements

Place the tank in a closed, ventilated, frost-free room (min. +5 °C) on a level floor with sufficient load-bearing capacity. A pressure-reducing valve, safety valve and expansion vessel (50–100 l recommended) must be fitted on the cold water supply; warranty is conditional on the reducing valve and expansion vessel being installed. Installation by a qualified company only; desludge the tank and check the anode once a year.

What pressure and temperature is the cylinder rated for?
The maximum operating pressure is 10 bar and the maximum operating temperature 95 °C. The steel vessel is protected inside by a SMALGLASS coating to DIN 4753-3 and UNI 10025.

What water quality does the cylinder require?
The hardness of the incoming water must not exceed 2 mmol/l (11.2 °dH) and the water must not be aggressive (Langelier index 0 to +0.4). Failure to meet these conditions voids the warranty.

What are the requirements for the installation room?
The cylinder must stand in a closed, ventilated room that stays frost-free all year (at least +5 °C), on a level floor with sufficient load-bearing capacity. Allow for a tilt height of 2200 mm when moving it into place.
