Victron Energy capacitor pre-charge cable - prevents sparking when connecting the battery. Victron Energy's pre-charge cable is used to safely pre-charge the internal capacitors of equipment such as inverters, inverter/chargers or MPPT solar controllers. This procedure prevents arcing when connecting the battery to the DC terminals, ensuring greater safety during installation and operation. - Designed for Victron Energy inverters, inverter/chargers and MPPT controllers - Allows sequential pre-charging of internal capacitors - Prevents arcing (sparking) when the battery is connected - Easy to use: connects to the DC terminals of the device before the actual battery connection - Increases safety and reduces the risk of damage to the device LED indication Red LED indicates reversed polarity. The cable is not damaged but must be disconnected and reconnected correctly. The yellow LED lights up during precharging. The internal capacitors are charged with a current of up to 0.5 A. When the precharge is complete and the battery voltage is reached, the LED goes off. Using 1. Connect the negative battery to the inverter. 2. Do not connect the positive battery cable yet. 3. Connect the pre-charge cable between the battery and the device: 3.1. Connect the BAT+ step clamp to the positive terminal of the battery. 3.2. Connect the other step clamp to the positive input terminal of the inverter, inverter/charger or MPPT. If necessary, use a short extension wire to reach the terminal. 4. Wait until the yellow LED goes out, indicating that the precharge process is complete. 5. When the precharge is complete, disconnect the precharge cable and immediately complete the positive battery connection.
