Product detailed description

Combined carbon monoxide and flammable and explosive gas detector with battery backup, digital display, last alarm memory and unique voice warning function in Czech language. Stand-alone carbon monoxide, flammable and explosive gas detector SAFE 808COM with voice warning and digital display The SAFE 808COM is a hardware-innovated version of the intelligent combination detector equipped with the latest electrochemical and solid-state, second-generation multifunctional sensor technology for the detection and early warning of carbon monoxide (CO) and almost all flammable, explosive gases (natural gas, methane, propane, butane). The device stands out for its stability, high sensitivity and long lifetime of the sensor pair. Ideally suited for reliable detection of gas or carbon monoxide leaks from all domestic gas appliances and gas boilers. It detects all combustible gases commonly found in homes. Multifunction LCD display For a more convenient overview and control of the situation in the event of an alarm, the SAFE 808COM detector has a backlit colour LCD display that shows not only the detected carbon monoxide or combustible gas in ppm (or millionths), but also other additional information such as the capacity of the backup battery via a bar graph, the connection to the power supply, the power supply and the temperature. network, etc. The backlit LCD display allows its users to recognize and compare low and high values of potential danger in order to react adequately to an emerging situation or to specify the concentration of a leak in case of a report to a service organization. Unique voice alert function It informs the user with a human voice (in English) about the current status of the device, such as "Welcome to the flammable gas detector, please wait 3 minutes, the device is initializing." In case of a detected danger, the detector's audible alarm signal is then accompanied by a repeated message informing about the detected danger: "Please beware, carbon monoxide leak!" or "Attention, gas leak!". The voice warning is thus a great help to the user to immediately distinguish the information messages issued by the device. Maximum reliability The detector's twin integrated sensors meet the highest European safety standards and are certified and calibrated to EN 50194 (standard for electrical equipment for the detection of combustible gases) and EN 50291 (standard for electrical equipment for the detection of carbon monoxide) without the additional need for periodic service calibration. The instrument is microprocessor controlled and indicates gas and CO leaks both optically and acoustically. The second generation sensors perform continuous air testing for the presence of dangerous levels of gas concentrations in the monitored area. The uncompromising guardian of safety Carbon monoxide, like most flammable and explosive gases, is normally odourless. Therefore, to make them easily detectable by smell in the event of a leak, most gases are coloured (odoured) with special chemicals. Whether the gas is odorized or not, the SAFE 808COM detector sensor is factory configured to reliably detect gases to trigger an alarm before a certain concentration threshold is reached, which if further increased poses a potential hazard risk, and safely protect your health and property. Protection even in the event of a power failure Solid-state catalytic combustion sensors for the detection of flammable and explosive gases require a constant power supply from the mains. The SAFE 808COM detector is powered from the 230 V / AC mains, but unlike most conventional detectors, it has an integrated fast-charging converter and a tray to accommodate a 9 V NiMH backup battery (battery not included as standard), which provides maximum protection for a certain interval in the event of a mains power failure. Function test The detector is equipped with a TEST button with a function that serves to simulate the presence of gas artificially and allows the operability of the internal circuits to be verified through an automatic efficiency monitoring system. Combination 2-in-1 detector The SAFE 808COM is ideally suited for detecting gas leaks from all domestic gas appliances and gas boilers. It detects both carbon monoxide and all flammable gases commonly found in homes, protecting you and your family from two dangerous threats at the same time. The device is powered by 230V/AC mains with a 9V NiMH battery backup in case of a mains power failure. Areas of use Residential areas with kitchens equipped with gas stoves, domestic boiler rooms with equipment burning natural gas, propane-butane or rooms where gas equipment is located, such as: gas cylinders, tanks, gas pipes, garages for gas-powered cars, school chemistry and physics workshops and laboratories. Where to install a detector? We install combined carbon monoxide, combustible and explosive gas detectors in rooms with potential CO or gas leaks (bathrooms, gas boilers, kitchens, rooms with woks, karma, instantaneous heaters, thermometers, etc.). The basic criterion for the correct placement of the detector is the identification of the gas, i.e. whether we are detecting light gas (rising up to the ceiling) or heavy gas (falling to the floor). According to this criterion we will choose the installation location. We always install the gas detector on the wall, depending on the type of gas detected, either below the ceiling (approx. 15-30 cm) or above the floor (approx. 15-30 cm), at a distance of at least 1.2 m from the fuel-burning appliance to minimize false alarms that may occur during a short gas leak, for example when a gas boiler or stove is ignited, and at a distance of approx. 60 cm from the corners, i.e. the point where two walls converge. Properties of gases and their mass relative to air - Propane butane (LPG), petroleum substances: heavier than air, sinks to the floor. - Carbon monoxide (CO), natural gas (LNG, CNG), ethylene: Lighter than air, rises to the ceiling. What is carbon monoxide (CO)? Carbon monoxide is a colourless, tasteless and odourless gas that is produced when fossil fuels such as coal, oil, natural gas, LPG, coal and wood are burned badly. It can also be produced by poorly maintained or faulty fuel-burning appliances used for domestic heating, such as: boilers, gas appliances, karmas, barbecues, blocked chimneys, ventilation systems or damaged flue pipes. Common symptoms of CO poisoning include headaches, nausea, fatigue or muscle pain - but these can easily be confused with a diagnosis of flu. It is therefore important to protect your family and home with carbon monoxide detectors. What is natural gas? Natural gas is piped into your home. Unless you live in a rural area, you probably use natural gas. It is the predominant energy for heating homes. Natural gas is a fossil fuel containing almost exclusively methane. Methane is much lighter than air and rises upward when it escapes. If you are a natural gas user, it is recommended that you install this detection device about 30 cm from the ceiling to ensure that a gas leak is caught as quickly as possible. What is propane? Propane is most commonly supplied to homes in liquid form and is stored near the home in propane tanks. Propane is used in homes in rural areas where natural gas is not piped in. Since propane is the most commonly used LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), propane and LPG are often used with the same meaning. Unlike natural gas, propane is much heavier than air and stays low to the ground. It is therefore recommended that this detection device be installed low to the floor to ensure that a gas leak is caught as quickly as possible. It is therefore important to protect your family and home with combustible gas detectors.
