Product detailed description

Comprehensive solution for island or hybrid solar system. We connect solar panels, battery, appliances, power station or grid to the unit and have a professional 1f hybrid/island system. 3000VA/2400 W inverter, 48 V battery, PV max 4000 Wp. All-in-one solar power solution The Victron EasySolar-II GX integrates the following elements: - Multiplus-II 48V/3000VA/35-32A inverter/charger - SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr solar charge controller - GX device with 2 x 16 character display These elements combine together inside one unit and this greatly simplifies most installations and saves time and money. Built-in display and Wi-Fi The display shows the parameters of the battery, inverter and solar controller. The same parameters can be accessed using a smartphone or other Wi-Fi enabled device. In addition, the system can also be set up using Wi-Fi. Solar controller The DC output of the solar MPPT controller is connected in parallel with the DC connection of the MultiPlus-II inverter/charger. The on/off mechanism of the Multiplus-II also controls the solar MPPT controller. GX device The integrated GX device includes: - VE.Can interface. This can be used to connect to Victron VE.Can devices (e.g. VE.Can MPPT) or the port can be reconfigured via the remote console for use with a compatible CAN-bus Li-ion battery. - USB port - Ethernet port - VE.Direct port The GX device controls the MultiPlus-II and solar MPPT controller with the appropriate VE.Bus and VE.Direct connections and, when connected to the Internet, provides the system connection to the Victron Energy VRM portal. VRM Portal victron Energy's free remote monitoring (VRM) website displays all your system data in a comprehensive graphical format. You can also remotely change system settings through the VRM portal. Alarms can be received via email. Try out the VRM portal on a DEMO account here: https://vrm.victronenergy.com/landingpage To connect to the VRM portal, you only need to connect the unit to the internet. The hybrid operation of EasySolar is designed for where there is a permanently available distribution network connected to its AC input. In this mode, the unit prioritizes energy from the PV array and/or battery over energy from the grid. The hybrid function must be set up adequately in EasySolar (remotely or via the MK3-USB interface and VE.Configure 3 software - not included). If the mains is present, EasySolar is permanently connected to the mains, even if it does not need the mains immediately (the battery is not discharged and the inverter is not overloaded). A minimum amount of energy is continuously drawn and/or supplied from the grid regardless of the current operating condition (small technical measurable overflows to the grid are present). Even when the distribution grid is connected, priority is given to drawing energy from the PV array and/or battery to power AC appliances. The photovoltaic array generates electricity which is fed preferentially and directly to the 230 V AC appliances via the inverter/charger without the involvement of the battery. If the PV array generation is higher than the consumption by the appliances, the excess energy is stored in the battery in an adaptive manner using an MPPT controller. If the battery is charged, the MPPT controller automatically throttles the production from the PV array (or the energy is purposely supplied to the distribution grid depending on the setting). If the battery is discharged below a preset level, the draw from the PV array and the battery is terminated and the AC appliances are supplied fully from the distribution grid. Once the battery is partially charged from the PV system (by 5-10%), the AC appliances are automatically powered again from the PV array and/or battery. As soon as the AC consumption of the appliances is greater than 80-90% of the maximum continuous power of the inverter/charger, the inverter/charger draws additional power adequately from the grid (GridAssist function) to avoid overloading the inverter. In the event of a grid blackout, the power supply to the AC appliances and battery charging from the PV array continues uninterrupted (EasySolar's operation is fully independent of the grid). During a grid outage, the battery is discharged to a deeper (defined) level than when the grid is present. At the same time, it can only power AC appliances up to its maximum continuous inverter output. If the inverter/charger shuts down to a discharged battery during a grid failure and then the grid is restored, the inverter/charger automatically activates, starts powering AC appliances and recharges the battery from the grid to the minimum preset value. In principle, this is called DC coupling. The system has the possibility to activate the protection function of the lead-acid battery against the negative effect of long-term discharge (preferably using solar energy to recharge the battery or recharging the battery from the mains). EasySolar can be combined with a mains inverter(s) at the input or output (AC coupling) under certain conditions. For standard houses, a three-phase connection is present. The individual phases are fed into the main switchboard and selected single-phase appliances or circuits are connected to each phase. EasySolar simply plugs into one selected phase before entering the main switchboard. The selected appliances that we want to power preferentially with solar energy are then connected to that backup circuit in the main switchboard. The EasySolar unit is also a great choice for so-called island systems without an available distribution network - a power generator can be connected to the EasySolar unit as a backup power source.
