Where it is used

In cooling mode the supply water can become colder than the dew point of the air around the pipes, and droplets then start to form on the pipe surface. The sensor picks up this condensation and hands the signal over to the electrical installation of the heat pump.

Good to know

Wiring of the terminals V+, GND, NC, COM and NO follows the diagram in the IVAR.TER-SRB technical data sheet. Because the box is connected to mains voltage, installation is a job for a qualified electrician. What does the dew point sensor do?
In cooling mode the supply water can become colder than the dew point of the surrounding air, so condensation forms on the pipe. The sensor recognises this condensation and passes the information to the heat pump's electrical installation.

Where exactly is the sensor fitted?
Directly on the supply pipe of the heat pump. It is linked to the connection box by a 3000 mm cable.

Is a transformer included?
Yes, a connection box with a 24 V transformer is part of the kit and is supplied from 230 V mains. Wiring follows the diagram in the technical data sheet and must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
